From the time when Lorie was a small child she collected beach glass every chance she could. Putting her found treasures from the beach in her shoe for safe keeping. (No pockets in bathing suits.) This intrigue for beach glass still holds true today though she doesn't put it in her shoe anymore. Lorie turns her beach glass treasures into beautiful pieces of jewelry. The lure of collecting the glass continues on in the creative process of finding the right look & style for each piece. Her husband, Troy, has also developed a passion for working with beach glass. Both of them received Silver Smith training in Columbus, Ohio from the Cultural Arts Center. Here they delved into the craft of creating with Silver to help accent the beach glass. For them it is a non-stop journey to develop and create new styles of jewelry that showcase the beach glass.

However Beaches is not only Lorie and Troy. There are many others who make this possible. Family and friends help in a variety of ways from collecting the glass, working the store, sorting the glass, drilling glass to assisting with paperwork and not to mention their love and support.
